queueI'm Julie Renton and I'm here at Glasgow's Silverburn Shopping Centre to gauge the level of antagonism towards the Scottish Government's White Paper on splitting Scotlandshire away from the rest of the UK.

There seems to be a queue of ordinary members of the public keen to talk to me about their views. I'll talk to a random sample of them

Malcolm Cunning (56, former student services manager) -"Salmond says this is a blueprint for an independent Scotlandshire. My ears have been buzzing since I heard him going on about it earlier. Mair like a bluebottle around shite."

Frank McAveety (51, former English teacher) - "670 pages? Is that, like, a book? I read wan o them wance!"

Archie Graham (53, former construction worker) - "My wife told me that the whole nonsense was dreamed up by somebody who just tells lies all the time about everything. She's always right about everything, so there's no need for me to read it. UK - OK Ya bass!"

Liz Cameron (age undisclosed , former college lecturer) - "I've got this letter to post, and the Nats can't even tell me what the price of a stamp will be? Their information is too little, too late, so I'll have to vote No."

Clarinda Fortescue-Smythe (26, unemployed) - "Yon security gaird cu*t wis that posh, ah hud tae tak the pish an pretend tae be aw Better Together, sae he pushed me intae this queue". [Ed : CUT!]

Surprisingly, a number of voters seemed to take a different view, but we didn't have time to hear their views, and anyway security were keeping them away from us to keep us safe. However, we have brought you a fair cross-section of Glasgow society
